Mechanical Engineering Technology Program

Program Mission

Our mission is to deliver high-quality education that equips graduates with the skills and knowledge to serve the industry and society effectively. We aim to develop professionals capable of addressing challenges in mechanical and allied engineering fields through innovative and sustainable solutions.

Program Educational Objectives (PEOs)

• PEO 1: Graduates will demonstrate the ability to solve practical and applied problems related to Mechanical Engineering Technology and its associated disciplines.
• PEO 2: Graduates will uphold ethical and social responsibilities in their professional careers, contributing to sustainable development.
• PEO 3: Graduates will exhibit leadership qualities and engage in continuous professional growth and lifelong learning within their chosen specializations.

Program Learning Outcomes (PLOs)

The program aligns with the twelve Student Attributes (SAs) recommended by the National Technology Council (NTC) for a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering Technology:

1. Engineering Technology Knowledge (SA1/PLO1): Ability to apply mathematical, scientific, and engineering technology principles to solve defined engineering problems and processes.
2. Problem Analysis (SA2/PLO2): Capability to identify, research, and analyze broadly defined engineering technology issues using appropriate methodologies.
3. Design/Development of Solutions (SA3/PLO3): Proficiency in designing solutions for complex engineering challenges while considering public health, safety, cultural, and environmental aspects.
4. Investigation (SA4/PLO4): Competence in conducting investigations, utilizing literature, databases, and experimental techniques to reach valid conclusions.
