All candidates seeking admission to any Degree Program, including the candidates applying on reserved/quota seats, shall have to submit an admission application, in the prescribed manner, complete in all respects, complying with the deadlines. Applications incomplete in any respect or submitted after the due date shall be liable to rejection without a notice.
The applicable fees for submission of Admission Application and for the Entry Test of the University are given in the table below.

Candidates may apply for either Subsidized Fee (lower fee for which the merit is expected to be high) or Unsubsidized Fee (self-finance fee for which the merit is expected to be significantly lower) categories of admission.
A candidate applying to any Undergraduate Degree Program is allowed to choose both Subsidized and Unsubsidized Fee options, for that program, without paying extra fee for Application Processing.
However, a candidate desirous of submitting an additional application for some other Degree Program shall have to pay additional Admission Application Processing Fee for each such application.
Application Form can be downloaded from the University website https://www.putrasul.edu.pk the candidates should print the form, fill-in all the required information in clear readable writing, attach copies of all the necessary documents, deposit the Application Processing and Entry Test fees, attach the deposit slip and submit the application by post, courier or in-person.
A candidate applying for admission shall calculate the applicable Admission Application Processing Fee by adding Rs.1,000/- for each degree program for which an admission application is intended to be submitted and add another Rs.1,000/- as the Entry Test Fee, if appearing for the PUT Rasul Entry Test.
For instance, a candidate seeking admission in three different degree programs and also wanting to take the PUT Rasul Entry Test shall deposit a total of Rs.4,000/-.
Candidates can deposit this fee at any Branch of the National Bank of Pakistan (NBP) into the University Account using a regular cash deposit slip. The student shall attach original copy of the deposit slip with the application form and may keep a photocopy for his/her record.

Minimum duration allowed for completion of any of the BS Degree Programs at the Punjab University of Technology Rasul is 8-Semesters (4-academic years).
Maximum duration allowed for completion of any of the BS Degree Programs at the Punjab University of Technology Rasul is 12-Semesters (6-academic years).
84% of the total allocated seats in each Undergraduate Degree Program shall be reserved for Admission on Open Merit for the Candidates Domiciled in a District of Province of Punjab or in Islamabad Capital Territory while 16% will be reserved for various regional and other quotas as described in the subsequent clause(s). Fractions shall be rounded off to the nearest whole number.
Out of the 84% Open Merit Seats, 70% shall be reserved for the candidates holding 3-years DAE in an eligible/relevant technology while 30% shall be for the candidates with eligible qualifications other than the DAE.
One half of the seats among each of the above categories, i.e., the candidates with DAE or other than DAE qualifications, shall be offered for admission under the Subsidized Fee Program and the other Half under the Unsubsidized Fee Program.
The 16% of the total allocated seats in each degree program, called Quota Seats, shall all be under the Subsidized Fee Program.
Quota Seats shall be equally distributed between the Sindh Domiciled; KP Domiciled; Baluchistan Domiciled; GB & AJK Domiciled/Residents; Erstwhile FATA Domiciled; Minorities having Punjab or ICT Domicile; Sports Persons having Punjab or ICT Domicile; Persons with Disabilities having Punjab or ICT Domicile and duly certified as such by the relevant authority; and the Children of the Armed Forces Personal having valid nominations issued by the relevant Offices.
To claim admission against of the Quota the candidate shall have to submit relevant proofs, declarations or certificates as required for evidence. Admission shall be granted on merit from amongst all the eligible applicants in their respective category.
To claim admission against the Quota for Sports Persons the candidate must be domiciled in Punjab or ICT and shall submit a Certificate from a relevant National/Provincial/Divisional/District level Sports Authority or a Recognized (relevant) Club for evidence and may have to undergo an extensive On-Field Test/Trial in the claimed sports. Admission shall be granted on merit from amongst all the eligible applicants in this category.
Any of the Quota Seats remaining unclaimed/unfilled shall be transferred to the Open Merit Category and within the Open Merit Category any of the seats allocated to candidates holding DAE qualifications that remain unfilled shall be transferred to the seats allocated for the candidates with other than DAE qualifications and vice versa.
Candidates seeking admission in any of the categories of the Quota shall have to submit their Admission Applications, complete in all respects and within permissible time, in the same manner as the candidates seeking admission on open merit and they must meet the minimum eligibility requirements.
All the candidates seeking admission in any of these Categories of Quota shall have to submit a Regular Admission Application to the University complete in all respects and within the due date.
To be eligible for admission, in a BS Degree Program offered at PUT Rasul, a candidate must have obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate score in either of the DAE, Intermediate or Equivalent certificate listed against each of the offered programs in the table below.
The candidates having O-Level, A-Level or any other foreign qualification will have to produce an Equivalence Certificate issued by the IBCC Pakistan.

Note: For the purpose of eligibility only unadjusted marks of DAE or HSSC (Higher Secondary School Certificate/Intermediate), without any rounding-off, shall be considered. The marks of Hifz-e-Quran, if applicable, shall be added only towards the calculation of merit and not for the determination of eligibility.
ECAT (conducted by the UET Lahore) and SAT shall be accepted as Entry Test and their score, on provision of official certificate of result, shall be incorporated in the Merit Calculation as per prescribed formula. However, the candidates who have not already taken ECAT or SAT shall have to take the PUT Rasul Entry Test for the respective BS Programs in which they seek admission. Applicants for multiple degree programs will be required to pay the Entry Test fee only once.
Only those candidates who are found to be eligible for admission in their desired BS Degree Program shall be considered for merit calculation and then the Merit Score shall be calculated in the following manner:
Due to peculiar requirements of Study & Practice in technology related careers the Selected Candidates are required to meet following Standards of Physical Fitness before their admission is confirmed. Submission of a Medical Fitness Certificate, covering all these Fitness Standards, issued by a Government Hospital or a Registered Medical Practitioner at the time of joining a Degree Program shall be mandatory.
Admission obtained by providing falsified, forged, incomplete or faulty information in any respect may be cancelled at any stage of the study program and no refund, whatsoever, of fees, funds, dues, charges deposited to the University during the whole period shall be permissible.
